Cast iron pipe corrosion issue?
Recently, while redoing my basement, I noticed a lot of brown balloons at the bottom of the outlet pipe of cast iron. When I realized, I wiped away the brown blobs and check for leaks or wetspots, but found no no. So my quesion is, what causes these brown balloons in the bottom of the pipe, and I worry for the future?
they are crying ... the pipe is corroded inside. It can be a problem if a living space, not so much in a cell. So I mean, no need to panic to get it repaired ... since The contents of the pipe are not under pressure, and crying is lower, probably has a couple of years before it becomes a "HAVE A REVIEW" problem. Try not to let anything hit the pipe, though ... that could change the situation, hurry!
